A:AnswerI have read many negative comments about the air fryer and how effective it is. The first time I used it I used the tray that came with it. In my opinion, the tray defeats the air fryer's effectiveness becuz it blocks air flow to the bottom portion of the food. I used a different tray (a splatter screen) one with holes in it and the air fryer worked quite well. However, it does take longer than a stand alone air fryer unit does.

A:AnswerNot exactly sure, still learning it, book shows cooking at 500 degrees, and yes it does have phases and stages, this is a nice microwave my wife loves it. The only negative so far the fan is a little loud. But we love it.
