A:AnswerYes.
If your TV has "ARC" capabilities then you can connect the soundbar's ARC HDMI output to your TV's ARC HDMI input.
Look at the labeling on the HDMI inputs on your TV to see which one it is; it will show "HDMI ARC". Doing this allows you to power on both the TV and soundbar with just the TV remote (or cable or satellite remote). You may also be able to use volume and mute functions with the soundbar as well.
The other way to connect your soundbar is via the optical cord (included with the soundbar). But with this setup you have to use the soundbar remote for all operations of the soundbar.
A:AnswerTry reading the instructions ...download the complete manual from the LG website. That information is written on the front of the included "Simple Manual"
The sub LED glows green showing Bluetooth is connected. When the connection is lost ...as when turning off the speaker system ...the LED glows red and remains on. The sub will "sleep" after a short period of no signal but the red LED stays on.
A:AnswerI have a nearly recent LG TV, but one of the cheaper 4k ones (not OLED).
The TV remote can control the volume, but not the power of the soundbar system. That's all I've tried. I usually put my TV into a dedicated sound mode ("optical only") instead of playing through both sets of speakers.
A:AnswerNo you can’t they are not compatible with this soundbar model. I already asked LG If I could buy another wireless subwoofer for this model and they told me no you can’t use any other subwoofer because they are not compatible.
A:AnswerYou must download the full manual from the LG website. It tells you this on the front page of the "Simple Manual" that's included with the soundbar.
A:AnswerThis unit absolutely has 2 HDMI ports, one input and one output. Connect the HDMI arc from your TV to the HDMI arc on the sound bar, and then you can passthru another HDMI device to the HDMI IN on the sound bar. I have this same sound bar and that is how mine is working currently.
A:AnswerNope. The only Bluetooth connection is with the sub.
Using the HDMI ARC connection (if your TV has this) gets you digital sound off the TV and the functionality of powering both the soundbar and TV when using the TV remote (for power and volume).
A:AnswerAccording to LG website, the Dolby digital SN4A is 300W, the front speakers are 50x2 and the subwoofer is 200W, totaling 300W. Also the SN4A is HDMI and ARC compatible and optical whereas the SL4Y is only optical cable. SN4A is DTS virtual X for a a greater cinematic experience.
