Are you asking about installation clearance? OTR microwave has a recommended 30" min. clearance from bottom of cabinet to cooking surface or countertop before installation. We do not have a range any longer, we have a cooktop. The bottom of the Microwave to the cooktop is roughly 18". A word of advice, if you are having the microwave installed by the Best Buy contract installers, they do not hookup/install the vent for the microwave. You would have to contact an HVAC person.
