“If we have the microwave set to vent outside, where does the steam and smell vent to when using the extend a vent? Does it get vented outside or does it just go out the top of the extend a vent and stay within the house?”

• If you connect it to a duct that leads outside, whatever the fan draws up will go through the duct. I tested ours with some smoke on the stove and the smoke was clearly visible coming out of the roof vent.
