“I'm concerned about depth. I would only have about 1 1/2 inches free from the back of the machine and the wall. The hot and cold hookups are already there. The hookups and drain pipe are built in flush on a little shelf inside the wall. Will this work?”

I’ve used mine with about an inch of clearance in the back and have had no issues. Not saying that this is safe to do, but from personal experience, it’s worked well for me. As long as you have room for the cords and connectors without them getting kinked.
