  • Questionif the dryer is ventless. where does the hot moist air go when drying?

    Asked by fred.

    • Answer Hello, A ventless dryer requires no exhaust; it pulls in cooler air and heats it, but the air is cooled by a heat exchanger, and this causes the moisture in the air to turn to water. This water is collected in a containment chamber located inside the dryer.^Venette

  • QuestionIF one load takes 2-3 hours wouldn't this machine use a lot more electrical power per load than conventional W/D ? Where is the lint trap ? or some sort of lint removal ?

    Asked by JohnR.

    • Answer You can select a wash cycle alone. For instance I select a speed wash which takes 34 minutes and 44 minutes for heavy soil. When that is done I select the energy saver dry cycle which takes a little over one hour, it saves time instead of choosing the wash and dry cycle.

  • QuestionIf hooked up to kitchen sink, how does the water drain & where?

    Asked by Sanla.

    • Answer Hi there, Great question, The LG - 2.4 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Smart Front Load Washer and Electric Dryer Combo with Steam and Sensor Dry - Graphite Steel has a kitchen conversion kit. Instead of connecting these to actual washer connections in a laundry room, they are connected to a kitchen sink conversion kit. The conversion kit includes connections for both the intake and discharge lines into a single piece, which conveniently attaches to most kitchen sink faucets. Once connected to the faucet, you turn the water on and select the desired water temperature. In cases where you are using either hot or warm water for the wash cycle, you do need to adjust the faucet to cold water for the rinse cycles. After the wash cycle is complete, the machine automatically starts the drying cycle. ~Tanisha

  • QuestionHow much room is needed between wall and back of machine?

    Asked by HB12.

    • Answer I have a question on this person's question. Can I place the back of the machine 1 inch from the wall? I don't understand where the 6 inches comes into play??? I have about 1 1/2 inches to play with from the back of the machine and the wall. Nothing in between. Can't the drain pipe and the hook ups go up the machine? My hook ups are built into back wall on a little shelf / cavity.

  • QuestionWill this fit in a kitchen, under counter and behind a cabinet door? With standard height/depth of cabinetry?

    Asked by CBPT.

    • Answer Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. To ensure optimal placement and usage of the WM3555HWA washer, it's important to consider the following measurements: The door width is 21'' (53 cm), with a depth of 43 1/4'' (110 cm) when open and 22 1/4'' (56.5 cm) when closed. There should be a clearance of 4'' (10 cm) behind the washer, 1'' (2.5 cm) at the side of the unit, and the unit itself has a width of 24'' (60 cm) with a clearance of 1/4'' (0.5 cm) at the top. Please ensure to accommodate any wall, door, or floor moldings that may require additional clearance space. Proper allowance for these factors will guarantee efficient operation and easy accessibility of the washer. • QuestionIf you buy this machine, theres no way to turn it on without buying additional cords and hoses? It doesn’t come with a single power cord or drainage hose or intake hose?

    Asked by Raven.

    • Answer The washer/dryer combo unit comes with a power cord, drain hose with bracket, and miscellaneous tools and parts to make it operational. It doesn't come with the hot and cold water intake/hook up hoses. Those will need to be purchased separately. However, as far as I know, no new washing machines come with these hoses. So no matter which unit you pick, you will still have to purchase those hoses.

  • QuestionHi there, looking to put this unit under my kitchen counter of 36" high......... however, specs say drain pipe needs to be 36" high and you would still have to bend the drain tube from washer into drain pipe. Please explain.

    Asked by MaryArab.

    • Answer Hi MaryArab. Which specs are saying that the drain pipe needs to be 36" high? The end of the drain hose for the 2.4 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Smart Front Load Washer and Electric Dryer Combo with Steam and Sensor Dry - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3555HVA should be located a minimum of 24" (61 cm) and a maximum of 96" (244 cm) above the bottom of the washer. or best results, locate the end of the drain hose no higher than 66" (168 cm) above the bottom of the washer. As the drain outlet is raised beyond 66" (168 cm), the drain function will be increasingly affected. You have to clip the end of the hose into the elbow bracket within 4 inches (10 cm) of the end of the drain hose. If the drain hose is extended more than 4 inches (10 cm) beyond the end of the elbow bracket, mold or microorganisms could spread to the inside of the washer. The drain hose can be inserted into a standpipe or into Laundry Tub to Drain...^Ivan

  • QuestionHow to use for the first time to wash and dry

    Asked by Daisy.

    • Answer The LG 2.4 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Smart Front Load Washer and Electric Dryer Combo with Steam and Sensor Dry - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3555HVA, has a Wash + Dry cycle that washes and dries clothing in one continuous cycle. Keep in mind that the washing capacity is twice the drying capacity, so if you wash a full load, you may want to take out half of the load for drying so the unit does not take a long time to dry the clothing. If you do not use the Wash + Dry cycle, the unit will stop when the wash cycle ends, and you can press the Dry button repeatedly to toggle through the selections: • Normal - For general drying • Damp Dry - For damp drying items for ironing • Low Temperature - For delicate fabrics • Energy Saver - For heavier fabrics • Time 30/60/120 minutes - For timed drying, then press the Start/Pause button for a Dry Only cycle. You will find all these instructions in your owner's manual, and we highly recommend that you read through the manual to familiarize yourself with the unit before using it for the first time...^Ivan.
