A: Hi Elaine - Thanks for viewing GE Model GFQ14ESSNWW! By design, combination washer/dryers typically do not have lint traps. Lint will be flushed from the unit through the drain line. We recommend cleaning the drain pump filter on a regular basis to prevent build up and allow the unit to drain efficiently. The flow of air takes the lint to a zone that is not accessible to the user, but the buildup is flushed away during the rinse cycle of the next wash. We suggest viewing page 16 of the Use and Care Guide regrading cleaning the pump filter: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000230-2.pdf - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! My husband and I have now been using the washer/dryer combo for about 2 months and we like that we have enough room in it to wash a good amount of clothes/towels/sheets etc. we have noticed that we do sometimes need to dry stuff 2-3x. We prefer to do just the wash cycle and then just the drying cycle, not both combined all at once because it takes longer to dry. Overall the product does what we need it to do, although we do wish we would had gotten a bigger one. The way we measured was wrong and that is on us, but the fact we need to dry things sometimes more that once or twice can be a bit much when the drying cycle is about 2 hours long (when the machine isn’t stuffed or full).

About one month daily use. Expectation is the key; this is not the same as separate units and is providing a solution for niche problems of small space and no vent. This unit looses a star for quality of controls. It was not cheap and to use a little sturdier switch assembly and knob unit would be expected and couldn't add much to the cost. This fit into our front compartment closet in our Cyclone 5th wheel but took a lot of patience and muscle aches. When they say 23.5 inches they mean 23.5-23.8 so make sure you have a solid 24 inches of clearance. Cycles flawlessly through wash and dry if you keep the loads reasonably sized. Basically we got rid of the hamper and clothes that come of they go right in and when about half full, which is every morning, we turn it on. It helps to remove clothes immediately after the dry cycle is complete and lay them out for finishing. The will feel damp but are not wet and will not dampen your bed if you lay them out. We do not use most of the features and have found that light and normal wash do just fine for our needs. Level adjustment is key as it will shake if not perfectly level and the load is not too big. We still get a lot of movement but to be fair it is not in the most stable position in our RV which will move a little anyways. Fairly quiet and would not wake a sleeping child or adult in another room. It does generate some heat so even though there is no direct vent, having a well ventilated room is advised. We also added an additional dehumidifier to the room to help control the moisture. With no real lint removal you will find lint both on the clothes as well as left in the machine. It is much less than you would find in a vented dryer which leads me to believe this is less damaging to the clothing but that is anecdotal. You will want to give clothing a quick look over before wearing for left over laundry bunnies as well as wiping out the drum and rubber grommet after every wash. We still take the quilts and other larger items to the fluff and fold but that is a small price to pay to avoid the coin-op laundry.

It is good for small spaces but vibration was too much. And it came all rusted inside. It takes 4-5 hours for small load. So i had to give it back
