Is there a heating element in the bottom of this model? I'd like to be able to put plastics on any rack, like my friend's Bosch allows. Is this model "top rack only" for plastics? null

This efficient drying system does not use a heating element during the drying process resulting in superior energy efficiency and gentle care for dishes. It is to use a liquid rinse aid improves drying performance by allowing water to drain off of dishes after final rinse. Use the upper rack for small or delicate items such as small plates, cups, saucers, glasses, and dishwasher-safe plastic items. In general, do not wash plastic items unless they are marked "dishwasher safe" or the equivalent. For plastic items not so marked, check the manufacturer’s recommendations. ^Daphane

There is not a heating element. We put plastics on all racks.

The LG dishwasher does not have a heating element on the bottom. Plastics can go on any level.
