A:AnswerThe questioner is correct. Meat should be stored in the lowest place, to prevent the possibility of raw meat juices from contaminating other foods. The lowest drawer (called "Glide'N'Serve" in the LG manual) on the LG model LRDCS2603D is not tall enough for roasts or a whole chicken. The larger drawers (Humidity Controlled Crispers) are not suitable for meat storage as they have weep holes in the bottom and any juices drip into the bottom drawer.

A:AnswerThe Energy Star® Qualified LG 26 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator with Ice Maker - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LRDCS2603S must be installed in an area where the temperature is between 55°F (13°C) and 110°F (43°C).If the temperature around the appliance is too low or high, cooling ability may be adversely affected. Most refrigerators stop working at some point during the winter months in an unheated garage, depending on climate and how well the garage is insulated. Most manufacturers do not recommend placing a refrigerator in temperatures below 50°F. Doing so could cause the freezer portion to thaw frozen food, the refrigerator portion to freeze food or both. When room temperature raises above the setting for the fresh-food section -- for example, 36°F — a typical refrigerator turns on and starts to cool. If the temperature in the unheated garage drops below 36°F, the refrigerator shuts down and stops cooling. This also shuts down the freezer section, causing it to warm up, thawing frozen food. Even if the refrigerator continues to operate without freezing or thawing as the outside temperature fluctuates, efficiency drops. A more important point to consider is the cost of keeping a second fridge running year-round in your garage. Your fridge will have to work extra-hard in summer and winter to keep your food at the right temperature, and this consumes more power...^IFV

A:AnswerI don't know. Read the material that came with it. You might try not to leave the door open as long as you do. I had my frig for about 2 weeks and the alarm has only come on about 3 times. The sound is very quiet.
A:AnswerBoth the questioner and the LG answerer are idiots! In every part of the world, -5 is ALWAYS less than Zero! Always! So -5 degrees is ALWAYS colder than Zero Degrees! Always!
Idiots!
