“In order to change the water filter, do you really have to turn the water off before removing the old filter and replacing? Once installed, I wouldn't be able to get the frig out far enough to get behind it easily due to a kitchen island.”

• Hello there! No, you do not have to turn off the water on the LG - 26 Cu. Ft. French Door-in-Door Smart Refrigerator, to change the water filter. ~Rita

• No you do not have to turn off the water. You just twist off the water filter and replace with new filter.
