QuestionWhat does the ICE plus mean on my LG French door in Door refrigerator Black Stainlsteel

- Answer It will take about 2 hours to produce the next bunch of ice cubes. With an “Ice Plus” feature it speeds up the freezing process and allows it to produce ice cubes about 2 times faster by directing cold air longer to the ice maker.

- Answer Yes it does lol. Surprised me I thought the freezer ice tray was in case I wanted to store extra ice for larger get togethers. That wasn't the case. I couldn't figure out how the ice was getting into the freezer till I turned the top one off and was still hearing ice being dumped. Took a bit for me to catch on. But I found the icemaker

- Answer No it does not, I actually brought this refrigerator based on the reply from the LG representative. So Unknowledgeable! If you want the craft round ice this refrigerator does not offer it!

- Answer Only for parts. LG will send a service technician to do the repairs for about $600 plus any parts not covered by the warranty; which is pretty much everything other than the compressor. The reason that LG extended the warranty from five years to ten years is because they were hit with a class action lawsuit that proved that they have a defective design in their compressors. They all tend to fail after five or six years and it appears that the defect is still in the compressors that they use, so if you are buying a new one that has the inverted linear compressor; buy an extended warranty, you will be needing it.

- Answer My measurements for the space was H:68.5 in W: 35.5 in D: 30 in. The dimensions for the fridge Height was a little over 69 inches and i thought that i wouldn't fit but it did. No problem it slid right in and there is no space between the top of the fridge and the cabinet. My last fridge was 68 inches so that was the reason for my concern. There was no room from the top of the fridge to the base of the cabinet just like this fridge and in the pictures.

- Answer This is possible if your freezer icemaker produces cubed ice. You cannot insert round ice (Craft ice) into the in-door ice bin, as it can damage the ice and water dispenser. ^Daphane

QuestionIn order to change the water filter, do you really have to turn the water off before removing the old filter and replacing? Once installed, I wouldn't be able to get the frig out far enough to get behind it easily due to a kitchen island.

QuestionWill this fit in an opening width of 36"

- Answer The refrigerator depth is 34.88 inches, including the handles. I was told that the delivery people need at least an inch of clearance to get it through doors, so you should be good with a 36 inch wide door. One of the doors to my kitchen was only 29 inches, so I had them deliver the fridge to my foyer, then I took the doors off (27.75 inch depth without doors) and it fit with a little extra room to spare.

QuestionI have read that the door area with the Instaview window does not stay at 40 or below. I intend to keep my milk and coffee creamer in that area and am concerned about the temp not being cold enough. Has anyone experienced this?

- Answer I have had this refrigerator for over a month and have not experienced any issue with it not being cold enough. I store milk, juice, water, cheese, butter, ketchup in this drawer space and it stays perfect at 35 degree setting. My daughter in law has the same refrigerator and has no problems either.

- Answer Yes! One of the doorways to my kitchen is 29". I had to remove the refrigerator and freezer doors to get it in. If you search on YouTube, LG has a few videos that I used that were helpful in walking me through the process. I did was thus ny myself, however, do to the weight of the doors and how fragile they are, I would definitely use an extra hand. The extra help really comes in handy when trying to lne the door up properly and lock the latches on top.The freezer door is easy to remove as there are a couple of latches on similar to removing a desk drawer that need to be pushed and then the whole thing slides out on its rails.
