In reference to the answer to question...Can the bottom ice tray be removed .. Please explain why the bottom ice maker bin can not be removed and that space used for extra freezer space when bottom ice maker is turned off. I currently do on older model.
Answered by SamsungGreetings! We are glad to clarify details about the usable space under the ice maker in the freezer compartment of this Samsung refrigerator model. When the ice buckets are removed and the ice maker is disabled, the space can be used for extra space as long as the food will not touch the ice maker as it can damage it when food solidifies/gets frozen. It is not recommended to use the ice buckets for food storage as there is a high risk of frozen food damaging the ice maker when its doors are opened or closed. Leo
Can the Water dispenser/Ice Maker be run without a filter? We just had Culligan installed so it is already filtered so there isn't much of a point to another filter
