The difference between a TV and a monitor is that unlike a TV, a monitor does not have a built-in tuner, and most monitors, but not all, do not have built-in speakers. The LG 34" WQHD 100Hz 5ms Smart Monitor with HDR10 (HDMI, USB-A) - Black, Model # 34SR60QC-B, features two HDMI inputs, and like any other monitor, it will work as a TV when you connect a tuner to either of its HDMI inputs, however, it has a native WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution which has an 21:9 Aspect Ratio, so when connected to a Dish Joey, you will have black bars on the screen...^Ivan.
