The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG - 4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer - White, Model # WT1501CW is a High-Efficiency washer that uses much less water than older traditional Top Load Washers. High-efficiency washing machines will use a noticeably smaller amount of water than non high-efficiency units. We would not be able to compare to front loading machines in general as they will use different amounts of water. ^CP
