      Answer

Perception of loudness or quietness is very subjective because what you might perceive as being loud may not be loud to another person. Then as you know from your own experiences, the perception of loudness diminishes with increasing distance. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 CU. FT. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW features LG's LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation which rates at 44 dBA. A quiet library is rated at 40 dBA and a 3 dB increase is barely perceptible to the human ear...^IFV

Does this machine "spin" out clothes adequately, or will have to put it on an additional "drain and spin" cycle to spin out the water properly? Will there be adequate water covering the clothes? Will machine stop if out of balance?   (4 Answers)

        Answer

So far it's worked fine for my washing needs on just regular cycle. Internal balancing system to avoid the out-of-balance issues of older, center agitator machines. Plenty of water to get the job done.

I am looking at getting this washer. I want to know how much extra water is put in the machine when you choose the button that will add more water. Sorry, not sure which button as I am not familiar with the buttons on this unit.   (2 Answers)

            Answer

It cannot be determined how much extra water would be added to the wash when the Water Plus option is selected. How much water it adds will depend on your load. The way that the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 CU. FT. 8-Cycle Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW works is that after you have selected a cycle, the default time for the cycle will show on the display. As you add modifiers or options to the cycle, the time will change to reflect the adjusted time. When you press the Start/Pause button, your washer will then weigh and measure the size of the load to determine how much water to use for that load and the estimated time will change again after the load is weighed. When you select the Water Plus option, the washer will fill water up to a limit. If the washing machine has already reached its' maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect. So the amount of water needed will vary according to the type and size of your loads...^IFV

              Answer

I do not have detergent residue issue. This machine has a "water plus" option that I use frequently that adds a little extra water to the wash. I have found clothes to be very clean

I don't believe it should as you have a speed wash setting as well as a delicate setting which is less than a hour.
