QuestionIs 28.4" the overall depth of model DLE1501W? Please read detailsDoes the 28.4" include the vent panel on the back of the dryer? we have tight constraints so need accurate dimensions.

- Answer The specified depth of 28 3/8" (72.0725 cm - rounded off to 72.1 cm in the manual) for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 CU. FT. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW is from the part that protrudes the most in the back to the front of the unit, or as you described, from the vent panel in the back of the dryer. The owner's manual recommends allowing a minimum clearance of 4 inches (10.16 cm) in the back to ensure sufficient clearance for the water lines...^IFV

- Answer It is automatic once you start the washing process as you will hear it lock 2 seconds later but it can be stopped and opened by hitting the pause button too.

QuestionEven w/monthly tub cleaning I get a musty smell with lid open between loads. Also getting brown flakes like pencil shavings. That usually happens if washer isn’t used for a few days or so. Takes several cycles of cleaning/rinsing to get rid of them, help!

QuestionWe're considering this machine but have cabinets above it. We know it's 55.1" high open but how far from the rear of the machine is this high point when open? Trying to see if it would stay open without hitting cabinets. Thanks for answers!

- Answer The top of the open lid is just over 8 inches from the wall. So you can put an 8 inch deep cabinet above washer. Make sure you measure depth including closed cabinet door.

- Answer Just curious what happened to your lid. I have a GE top loader and replaced the lid (my dealer replaced it but I had to pay for labor) because it developed cracks all around the lid and the replacement lid has done the same thing. Good Luck because GE refused to do anything even with my extended warranty.

- Answer I have no idea, I am waiting for a different LG washer to be delivered. Was told to have hotter water you need a washer that says "hot tap" or "sanitize" option, which is what I am waiting to get. I do not know what model the new washer is, Best Buy ordered it for me knowing what my concerns were with this washer.
