Product Manuals

Q: How many kilograms does this machine hold?

A: There isn't a way of converting cubic feet capacity into a weight since one is a volume and the other a weight, but a rough estimate would be that the Energy Star Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW can handle about 20 pounds of laundry or more (i.e 20 lbs is 9.072 kg.) Keep in mind that 9.072 kg of dry laundry weighs a lot more when it gets wet!...^IFV

Q: If you use high efficiency detergent pods instead of poured liquid detergent do you put the pods in the detergent tray or in the bottom of the drum with the laundry?

A: I've just thrown the detergent pods in the bottom of the washer and my clothes have come out clean and smelling good.

Q: I am looking at getting this washer. I want to know how much extra water is put in the machine when you choose the button that will add more water. Sorry, not sure which button as I am not familiar with the buttons on this unit.

A: It cannot be determined how much extra water would be added to the wash when the Water Plus option is selected. How much water it adds will depend on your load. The way that the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 CU. FT. 8-Cycle Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW works is that after you have selected a cycle, the default time for the cycle will show on the display. As you add modifiers or options to the cycle, the time will change to reflect the adjusted time. When you press the Start/Pause button, your washer will then weigh and measure the size of the load to determine how much water to use for that load and the estimated time will change again after the load is weighed. When you select the Water Plus option, the washer will fill water up to a limit. If the washing machine has already reached its' maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect. So the amount of water needed will vary according to the type and size of your loads...^IFV

Q: Is there supposed to be a foam piece underneath the washer that wraps around the perimeter if it?

A: Hi Loriv. After removing the carton and shipping material, you would need to lift the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW off the foam base and make sure that the plastic tub support comes off with the base and is not stuck to the bottom of the washer. You may have to lay the washer down to remove the base packaging materials. Make sure you always protect the side of the washer and lay it carefully on its side. DO NOT lay it on its front or back. You can save the foam block (the owner's manual can found inside it along with parts and laundry product samples) for future use if the washer needs to be moved. The foam block helps to prevent damage to the washer during transportation. To prevent damage, do not remove the foam block until the washer is at the final location...^IFV

Q: Is the machine quiet?

A: Perception of loudness or quietness is very subjective because what you might perceive as being loud may not be loud to another person. Then as you know from your own experiences, the perception of loudness diminishes with increasing distance. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 CU. FT. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW features LG's LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation which rates at 44 dBA. A quiet library is rated at 40 dBA and a 3 dB increase is barely perceptible to the human ear...^IFV

Q: Does this machine "spin" out clothes adequately, or will have to put it on an additional "drain and spin" cycle to spin out the water properly? Will there be adequate water covering the clothes? Will machine stop if out of balance?

A: So far it's worked fine for my washing needs on just regular cycle. Internal balancing system to avoid the out-of-balance issues of older, center agitator machines. Plenty of water to get the job done.
