So much larger drum than one with a conventional agitator. I can put more than enough clothes in the washer to equal that of my dryer. So many wash and spin selections. Very quiet. The first 2 days I did 8 small to extra large wash cycles to make sure that machine is balanced and worked properly. Kids (and parents) like waching clothes through glass lid....especially the extremely fast (1100 rpm) spin cycle. One touch customized programming for your most common way YOU wash.... instead of pushing multiple buttons. Uses less detergent, too.

Managed to get this beauty on sale! Sings when done. Multiple settings. Very much like the Samsung Washer my dad purchased. Auto senses your load to adjust water. No agitator in the middle. Loading pockets for detergent, bleach, and fabric softener. What more could you want? This thing cleans the heck out of my clothes and it's really good on electricity too!

Wife really like this new washer and all the different clothes settings. It runs really quiet. The Installation team was knowledgeable, efficient, and professional.

It was a very good price and quality machine. It cleans well and seems to be efficient using water. A bit louder than anticipated, but still quite quiet. Would recommend!

My first HE washer, so this is my only experience with HE washers. Actually, I am very impressed with this appliance. My last washer was around 15 years old - the traditional agitator type and all I have known. This new HE washer is so far advanced in function and performance. I water saving is incredible. I bought the washer from BB in January and have done around 20 loads so far, from small to three quarters capacity (the tub is huge!) and have done everything from towels to business casual to denims and sheets and whites and socks and underwear. The garments come out very clean. The little water the machine uses to accomplish this is a little concerning at first compared to the gallons agitator models used. However, my clothes are cleaner. The small amount of detergent is uses is impressive. Out of 20 loads, I have had one error code - actually more of a information code that the machine was re-balancing the load - and it did! I have gotten better at distributing the clothes more evenly now and have not had this issue is the last 18 loads. I would like to comment the same as others have - this machine needs to be balanced on installation - my installation was not performed correctly in this regard and that could have contributed to the cause of the one error code I had. But this review is about the appliance, not the installation side. I bought this washer on sale along with the companion dryer at a wonderful price, so decided to get the BB in-home extended warranty as I have no idea what the longevity expectations on this new appliance might be. Just a personal decision, I know. So, I am not a washer/laundry expert, but I am very impressed with the appliance. The water savings is just wonderful - many selections for different washing scenarios, a custom programmable function you can tailor to your preferences, huge capacity with the ability to do very small loads on speed wash (grandkids sleep-overs, etc.). And, clothes are clean!! (Yes, it is very quiet compared to agitator models).

After reviewing a lot of top-loading washers, I was so skeptical about the high efficiency washers (less detergent, HE detergent only, and less water...how could that get my clothes clean?). The sales rep at Best Buy explained that most detergents now are for HE washers (relief!) and that he had one and it really does get the clothes clean. The price for this LG washer was right (on sale) and it had the features I was looking for. I am soooo happy with this washer! It really does get the clothes clean and depending on the cycle used, you can override certain default features (e.g. you can add water, increase the spin speed, etc.) It is quiet, easy to use, and has a large capacity. The only drawback is that the tub is pretty deep so sometimes it is hard to reach the clothes to get them out (I am only 5' 4"), and yet, I am glad I bought this washer. So far, I love it!

We purchased this washer sight unseen via bestbuy.com to replace our LG front loader that had finally died after more than 8 years of great service. We knew we wanted another LG and were very happy to see this one in our search results and on sale. We needed one that could be delivered right away so hit the purchase button after reading some of the reviews and hoped for the best. We received a great product! Pros: *We don't have to leave the door open like a front loader (that got old really fast in our prior washer). *It is so so so quiet. You don't feel any shaking or hear a peep from this washer when it spins. So nice! *Has a ton of washer cycle settings. *This thing holds a massive amount of laundry. We are blown away how much it holds. (We are a family of six for reference of the amount of laundry needs we have). *It's lighter, so much more than the front loader. This was great as we had to move it upstairs. *It's a very nice looking washer. *You can hook this up to your smart phone (not something we really cared about but hey a nice feature nonetheless). Cons: *It's a very deep washer and can be hard to reach the bottom without a step stool for some. I'm 5'6" and have to turn to the side and lean in far to grab the straggler socks at the bottom.

Do reach into the tub before purchase as I have to reach in from the side to get the clothing at the bottom of the tub. Tub will rotate so you can bring the clothes to you but if your reach is short you will have issues. I have enjoyed using this washer. I love the automatic load sensing so there is no need to guess at load size. I love the dispenser for the fabric softener. It has an exceptional load capacity which allowed me to wash my queen sized comforter. We've done about 45 to 50 varying sized loads and the only time I have an issue is when I forget to select fabric softener when choosing washing options. If you haven't used an HE washer yet, you will erroneously use too much soap. LESS IS MORE. Love using less soap. It will suds so no worries. We have only had one load balancing issue which the machine told us about and it was just a matter of moving the clothes around. We have only needed to do one machine cleansing cycle (we used the bleach option instead of purchasing a specialized cleaner). We only did the cleansing as it was recommended after 30 washes. No smells before or after cleansing. We leave lid open to help with this issue. Not everyone may be able to do that. I have enjoyed doing laundry with this machine. It does not feel like a chore.

This machine has everything! Ample capacity for all our laundry, including all bedding. It has energy water-saving features but still gets all our clothes clean. The settings are easy to figure out and use. The machine runs quietly and evenly. This seemed to be the best machine, for the price. . The online order went smoothly and the delivery was right on time. The delivery people were great; very nice and they hooked up the machine in minutes.

Was not very happy with the front loader we had and when it started to fail we decided to go top loader but stay in the same corporate family. This has enormous capacity and does seem to do a very good job of cleaning although we have not yet had heavily soiled cloths. It is VERY quiet, and completes the cycle quickly. The only problem or complaint I have is it is so deep it is somewhat difficult to reach the bottom of the drum to pick up socks or underwear. Keep that in mind before you buy, a short person will have an issue I suspect. But the washer overall is very nice.

What a step up from our 12-15 year old set! Huge capacity, silent operation, easy to use, intuitive controls. Things seem to be getting cleaner too! No issues with refilling or self leveling. Runs like a champ! Highly recommended.

Bought this one when our 15 year old one blew its belt. Did a bunch of searching and shopping, both online and in stores to see what we liked. While we were obviously used to the old style washers with the tall agitator in the middle and one that fills all the way up, we were warned by parents to watch out on the new style washers with no center agitator and they only fill half way up... This one does indeed not have a center agitator, but it still manages to get clothes moved around and cleaned. It DOES have a deep water wash option that seems to do part of the cycle on the "low water" wash and then fills up more for a full depth water wash. We're on well/septic so don't have water bills to worry about... As for other reviews of it being deep and hard to reach in the bottom. Yep, it's true. It's deep. It's nice that it'll fit big things like comforters and such as well. Solution for the 5'0 wife? We simply have a small stool by the washer. We have had it about a month now and don't have any complaints about it. Easy to install. Nice with the clear top so you can check out what it's doing without interrupting it. Which might be also it's only drawback... It's not a FLAT top, so while the old washer doubled as folding table and occasional "work bench" for minor things since it's beside the utility sink, the curved and glass top kinda did away with that "work bench" aspect of it.... Controls in the front are obviously easy to reach. But that also means there's nothing in the back to catch something before it wanders over the back edge and down behind it... Have to be aware when folding/stacking clothes on top. Need to add something? Easy, just pause the wash cycle, it unlocks, do what you need, close lid, and continue the cycle. All in all, happy with it.

This thing is a breeze to use! So many features and cycle options. Huge space for large loads. Quick and efficient, but most importantly, it's quiet! Has a tone to let you know when the cycle is complete. Very happy with the purchase. Now I look for reasons to do a load of laundry!

When we needed a new washer we read reviews of what others before us had to say on multiple web sites. This washer had, by far, the most favorable reviews. Now that we've owned this washer for 3 weeks I can say you will NOT be disappointed. It uses a direct drive motor so no belt to eventually wear out & break. It is amazingly quiet while running (even the spin cycle). Wife likes having the button controls on the front edge. As others will tell you - the drum is a bit deeper than normal for a bigger load capacity but so far we have no problem snagging that last sock and tossing it in the dryer. Bottom line: We have no buyer's regret. The clothes come out clean and undamaged from spin cycle. Would recommend this washer to anyone.

I had very specific needs for my washer. It must be under $700, quiet, large capacity, can add items after it's been started, and one that doesn't take hours to wash each load. This washer is perfect!! I love it! If you read the manual, it's easy to select the right setting to get the proper wash. They have a quick 15-minute cycle as well as extra wash feature. It's deep, so I can see why people say if you're short, it's difficult to get things out of the bottom. Not a big deal for me, but I know that may be an issue for some. Overall I am so happy I selected this washer. Also, our appliance repair man who looked at our old washer said LG washers are the best to get. They are the ones that he rarely gets calls to fix. Highly recommend this washer!

I gave this washer a few months before doing a review. With a large family, this washer has done an excellent job. I was a bit nervous after seeing some of the negative reviews and comments but I have not had any of those bad issues. This washer is average, for what I'm used to as far as noise. It is deep, so not really convenient for younger/shorter people. (Get a little grabber if you need to) My clothes have come out clean, smelling great, and with very little water left in them. (We leave the lid up when not in use.) The load and cycle choices are great. The additional options are great as well. Very happy with this washer up to this point.

Love Love Love this washer. The tub itself is huge. Very deep also, get a little stool if your short. I'm 5'8 and am on my tiptoes reaching in for clothes ! I wash all my large comforters and quilts in it with ease, just use the extra water cycle. Takes very little soap since it uses very little water, so don't forget to back off on the amount of soap you use. Quiet running. Super easy to use. I've had it about 3 weeks now and can't find a thing i don't like.

This washer is excellent. I was needing a bigger capacity washer (I wash for 5) and I have found that I can wash more at a time cutting my number of loads down to 2 or 3. In fact I may need to now get a larger dryer. The washer is quiet and I also like that it has a glass top so that I can see what is going on in there :) The only down side is (and it's not really a down side) I have to stand to the side of it to be able to reach the items at the bottom of the tub. It's so deep I guess I need longer legs. This is the second LG washer I have owned and I am still very pleased with LG.

We have had this washer for over a year now and it's been flawless for us. It is nice and big. Yes, it's deep. Yes my wife is short. We keep a small stool beside for using - not a difficult task. But that nice big size is great for washing. You do have to get the HE detergent as recommended. And we have had no problems getting clothes clean. We do it all, not necessarily together... Heavy jeans, towels, king size sheets, comforters, delicates, etc. We haven't any problems with any of it. Want it to actually fill FULL? Simply click that button before hitting "start" and it'll run a deep/full cycle. It is a bit odd at first with all it's shuffle/shim/spins it does at the beginning of a cycle, but we have never had a problem with imbalance. And the wash drum seems to be very well dampened as I have never really heard any lout clanging or banging when washing or spinning. There are MANY times we start a load a night and go to bed. No overnight disturbances here. Overall it's been a great washer for us. Recommended.
