Yes, this was also a huge concern of mine and come to find out the washer and dryer each have their own serial number and can be separated when necessary for parts repairs/replacement. Hope this helps!

Well so far my machine and dyer is working really good.  I have more then a year warranty on them and i do hope if they both break they will replace them.  But i love my set
