Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My drain pipe is 1 1/2' also, not copper but that should be enough. Just make sure to put the tube deep enough and secure it so it will not jump out when the drain goes on. They make a plastic holder or you can zip tie it so it won't pop out.
