“If one of the units breaks down, can the other unit continue to be used while, say, waiting for parts on the broken unit? And, if the broken unit must go to a shop for repair, can the control panel be left behind with the still-functioning unit?”

The units can be serviced independently. If either is in-operable the washtower will not work. ^Daphane
