Almost all the newer energy efficient washing machines have long cycles (but use less water).

Ft. 12-Cycle Front-Loading Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Washer with 6Motion Technology, Model # WM3700HWA can be affected by variables such as the load size, load weight, fabric types, fabric thickness, amount of suds, water temperature, incoming water pressure and more. These variables may extend the cycle duration as they may require more water, take more time to absorb the water, or take longer to drain & spin. depending on how long you have had the machine or the quality of your water, mineral deposits from the water can build up on the inlet filters & slow the water up as it fills the tub. You may also want to check to make sure that your water inlet hoses are not kinked up or pinched which will also slow up the water as it fills. The required water pressure should be between 14.5 psi and 116 psi. If the water pressure is in the lower range, it will take longer for the water to fill. Options like the Water Plus option will add additional time to the cycle to add more water to the cycle. This machine features an Auto Suds Removal feature that is activated if the washer detects excessive suds. It is automatically added & the washer will drain & add water to dilute the concentration of detergent. Each activation of this feature adds approximately 12 minutes to the cycle & it is possible for this feature to be activated multiple times. It is normal for the cycle time to last up to two hours depending on the cycle & chosen options, but if it is happening on all loads, regardless of options, load types or load size, then the washer may require a repair service...^IFV
