“I used the bedding cycle for the first time to wash a bedspread. The water level came almost to the top of the tub and continued to increase until I turned off the machine. Is it normal for the tub to fill to the top on this cycle or is there a problem?”

Read the manual for correct settings. I wash bedspreads every week with settings: warm water, medium spin. medium soil level, and have no issues.
