Questiondoes this washer have an agitator

- Answer This washing machine does not have the center agitator - however, once you put your clothes in this amazing machine will jiggle and wiggle the clothes until they are all balanced and ready for washing. The stainless steel inside of this washer is huge! You can easily do two sets of sheets at a time, and again, with the new technology of back and forth/swishing washing system your clothes really do get very clean! The lid is clear so you can watch all of the nifty things this washing machine does. It also has a slow close lid which is rare. No more slamming of lids on your hands or HEAD!! I am not a professional reviewer! Just a very happy customer.

- Answer Have the same problem with this lg machine. There is either not enough water or to much. Have no control over the water. I have tried every way i can think of to adjust it. No success. I will know better about which machine to buy next time. It will not be a lg.

QuestionHaving read on another review site that the machine locks and there was no way to interrupt and unlock it to get an item out, is this accurate? also, can temps be combination so as to do a hot wash and cold rinse as someone said? thanks

- Answer When you press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer in White, Model # WT7100CW, the lid locks and the Door Lock indicator lights up once a cycle has started. The indicator light stays on until the cycle is paused, stopped or has finished. If you need to add additional garments after the wash cycle has started, you will have to wait until the "Add Garment" light illuminates near the beginning of the wash cycle to indicate when it is safe to add items to the load. At that point, you can press the Start/Pause button to pause the cycle. The lid will unlock and you can add garments to the load and press the Start/Pause button to resume the cycle. The wash temp can be adjusted for most cycles. The rinse and spin cycle is only available with Cold water. ^CP

QuestionDoes this machine tie your clothes up in knots? If I wash a bunch offer shirts in my washer they come out all tied together!

- Answer NO, It should not be doing that. When placing your clothes in the washing machine, your center of the machine should not have clothes covering it. Place clothes around the sides of the machine tub, evenly. go around adding layer on layer. Your manual gives directions on how to place clothes in machine.The clothes in the machine must be balanced, so when it spins, it does not mess up the bearings, with an unbalanced load. I hope this makes sense to you. I had to replace my washing machine, because of uneven loads, it got so bad my washing machine sounded like a jet taking off, when it was spinning the clothes dry. I hope I helped.

QuestionI have purchased this washer a few months ago. I found that spin cycles are often very long. Is it normal to have 15 to 20 minute long (sometimes even longer) spin cycle? Thank you!

- Answer Hi Kawena. Make sure that you are using only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent with the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer with 6Motion Technology, Model # WT7100CW and that you are following the detergent manufacturer's directions on how much to use. Using the wrong detergent or too much HE detergent causes excess suds and the washer will try to get rid of the excess suds by adding time to the cycle...^IFV

- Answer You’ll need new water supply lines. Just make sure you replace the supply lines with the metal braided type. This type is a must to prevent a possible blown hose in the future that could cause water damage where your washer is installed. If Best Buy is installing, they will bring the right supply lines to replace with. They will charge 29.99 for a set that’s 6 ft in length, but when I purchased this unit online they came without an additional charge with it. Not sure if it was a promotion so give it a try. By the way the washer is awesome and well worth buying. Enjoy.

- Answer Use the Water Plus option to add extra water to the wash cycle for better wash performance (stain treatment) with large or bulky items. NOTE • If the washer reaches its maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect. • To add more water while a cycle is running, pause the cycle before pressing Water Plus. • When Normal cycle is selected, if you select Water Plus option, cycle will be changed to Deep Wash cycle before starting. - Answer My daughter has a similar washer & she showed me how to remove the soap dispenser. I was amazed on how much water is left is it & now pull it out when done & dry it with paper towel. I leave it out overnight. My machine is only 10 days old so I hope that drying method prevents the odor problem that you have..

- Answer Yes, you can use pods and fabric softener. For fabric softeners, please be sure to dilute them if they are concentrated and if using pods, do not exceed 1 pod per load. Place the pod directly in the drum. Pods may contain too much detergent for small loads. So you may still need to use regular detergent in some cases. ^CP

- Answer There is an option for multiple water temps on the display screen and there is a button you simply depress and choose your water temp. Every cycle will default to it’s pre-programmed recommended temp, but you can change the temperature for any cycle. I usually always use cold water. I added a picture below to show you where you choose your temp, Hope this helps!

- Answer Hi Donna, we purchased this washer and dryer set to replace our older LG washer and dryer. We love LG products and they seem to be top of the line even when you don't purchase their most expensive product. This particular washer plays a melody (dew-do-dew-do...your laundry is done) once it finishes its cycle. It is not 100% quite as you can hear it on spin but typically we only notice it on larger loads or when it is spinning fast. Hopefully this helps! Stay safe and healthy during this time, we're all in this together!
