Yes, this is High-Efficiency (HE) washer. This is a high-efficiency washer, and the water levels may be much lower than you expect. The washer automatically adjusts the water level for the type and size of wash load for best results and maximum efficiency. The washer has a Water Plus option to add extra water to the wash cycle for better wash performance with large or bulky items. If the washer reaches its maximum water level, this button will have no effect. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't give it a numeric factor, but each load appears to use less water than the older unit we had, by about 1/3. It's hard to judge because the prior unit was 30 years old and any comparison would be specious.
