“I need to know difference in size of inside drum. what are the dimensions of the 4.8 drum compared to the 5.5? Is the drum for the 4.8 as deep as the 5.5 drum? the 4.8 is a smaller space so is the 4.8 drum less wide or less long than 5.5 drum?”

I don’t know the exact dimensions but I went from a 5.0 to this one and could tell a little bit of a difference. It’s not as deep because I don’t have to stand on my tiptoes to get to the bottom. I still put the same amount of clothes in but only because the other machine didn’t wash as well. I love the agitator in this one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The factory does not provide that level of detail, the capacity per load is respectively 4.8 and 5.5 cubic feet. For example, the model WT7305CV has a tub that can hold 4.8 cubic feet of water and the model WT7800CV holds 5.5 cubic feet. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This tub is very deep. I can barely reach the last couple items from the bottom. I am 5'7" and it is a real stretch to get that last sock. Maybe someone a lot trimmer could do it easier. That is the only thing that is a slight disadvantage. Otherwise, I love the washer. Quiet and does a good job without tangling the clothes.
