Each cycle for the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 4.8 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity Smart Top Load Washer with 4-Way® Agitator, EasyUnload™ & AI Sensing, Model # WT8205CW, has default settings that are selected automatically, but you can also customize these settings using the cycle modifier buttons & repeatedly press the button for the desired modifier until the indicator light for the desired setting is lit. The LED next to the setting lights up when the setting is selected. However, to protect your garments, not every wash temperature, spin speed, soil level, or option is available with every cycle. A chime will sound twice, and the LED will not light if the desired setting is not allowed for the selected cycle. The AI Sensing automatically detects load size and fabric textures. It then customizes the wash motions, water levels, and cycle times to optimize cleaning and protect your clothes, saving you the guesswork of sorting fabrics manually. With the AI Sensing, the washer briefly spins the dry clothes to measure the weight and inertia of the load, then measures the flexibility and softness of the fabrics to determine their exact texture profile, and then compares this data against thousands of washing patterns to automatically select the ideal wash motion for superior cleaning and fabric care. You cannot manually toggle the AI Sensing feature off; however, you can bypass or prevent it from activating by choosing specific settings or custom cycles.
