A:AnswerLrgl 5825F Convection oven is referred to as a TRUE CONVECTION Oven. LRGL is a STANDARD Convection.
Standard has single or dual fans and element. Uses a fan and exhaust system. Superior to traditional oven cooking.
True convection (also known as European convection) has 3 elements and 3 fans. Oven temperature is more uniform. Vastly superior baking, roasting, browning to Standard.
Convection gives a crispy outer layer while inside a chicken or turkey stays juicy. Good for roasted veggies. Best for browning. Cookies., toasted nuts.
Use lightweight pans made of aluminum( can be disposal) or metal. Glass and cast iron not good for convection.
Read up on when to use convection because the fan blows air around and moist foods prone to shifting and splattering. (Like quick breads, custards, souffles)
CAKES best in regular bake mode as these fans create a steady dry heat and the surface of foods will be dry.
The front of both ranges are different . Lrgl 5823S has a full width Black oven door and a different top control panel size with different options vs Lrgl 5825F.

A:AnswerHi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry about choosing between the LRGL5825F and the LSGL6335F ranges and ensuring compatibility with your current backsplash setup.
Both the LRGL5825F (Gas, Freestanding) and the LSGL6335F (Gas, Slide-In) are designed to fit into a standard 30" cabinet opening, and their Overall Width is 29.87 inches, so your 30" space provides adequate clearance.
Regarding your plastic backsplash, the LSGL6335F is a Slide-In model, which typically features controls at the front and a minimal or no raised backguard, often resulting in a look that integrates better with the countertop and requires a finished backsplash behind it. The LRGL5825F is a Freestanding model and has a higher backguard/backsplash built into the unit where the main controls are located. This built-in backguard on the Freestanding model may offer a protective barrier between the range's heat and the plastic backsplash on your wall, making the LRGL5825F potentially a safer option to use without having to replace your existing plastic backsplash.

A:AnswerThe Owner's Manual states that the grates are dishwasher safe. No reference is made to them needing to be pre-treated prior to wash. Grates should be washed regularly and after spillovers. After cleaning the grates, let them dry completely and securely position them over the burners. ^Daphane

A:Answeryes, you can use the bake button for conventional baking, or you can use convection bake to use the fan for even heat throughout the oven. Note, convection bake will lower your set temperature by 25 degrees automatically.
A:AnswerEven though page 25 in the owner's manual for the LG 5.8 Cu. Ft. Smart Freestanding Gas True Convection Range with EasyClean® and InstaView® - Stainless Steel, Model # LRGL5825F, does not mention whether the griddle needs to be pre-seasoned, most cast-iron griddles for range ovens require pre-seasoning before their first use to create a non-stick surface, prevent rust, and ensure even heating. While some, particularly stainless steel models, may not need it, most cast iron accessories require this "burn-in" process to avoid food sticking...^Ivan.
