We watched the most recent Super Bowl on it, and it was drop dead gorgeous. Couldn't speak for hockey, but I imagine a lot of people use the default motion correction features out of the box. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b6/settings <- following their guidance on this site helped me tweak it to have motioc like my plasma, but with even better colors.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The colors are unbelievably true to life. My Samsung was vibrant but looked fake. This tv is like you're there seeing the image. I've not experienced any motion blur except for Netflix because my Internet isn't fast enough. My friend does the installation for the company I use and has said once they upgrade the tower we use the blur will go away.
