If it were me I would probably get the cheaper version of this TV and use a commercial adjustable mount - only because I don't think you can get the tv flush against an uneven rock surface, which kind of defeats the purpose (and added cost) of the Gallery TV. If you do go with the Gallery I would cut a piece of wood just a bit larger than the mount, perhaps a piece of 3/4" plywood. I would mount the wood to the rock wall - take the time to get it perfectly plumb against the rock - use spacers, whatever, and strong fasteners that can go thru the plywood and stone to structure behind, or proper anchors for stone. The Gallery + mount is a pretty heavy assembly. I would then attach the LG mount to the plywood. It will end up pretty close to the wall - the thickness of the plywood - should look great. Not sure how you will manage the cables through the stone, though.
