My stand is 48” wide and it fits fine. The actual metal TV stand is about 24” long. The TV screen is about an inch wider than the width of the stand on each side, but not enough to bother me. There is still room on the stand for my DIRECTV mini box to set under the screen on one side.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It would stand fine just hangoff a little bit on both sides when centered. Its recommended that you have 5 inchs on each side of the stand though. Just be cautious.

If your stand is only 48 inches wide it will not fit if the stand encloses the TV on both sides. If your TV sits on top of a 48" wide stand, the TV will overhang the stand by about 1/4" on both sides.
