I think you'll be pleased. We have a 75" DLP, and moved "up" to the 65UH8500. The unconventional is astonishing, as is the 3D performance.

Nothing really to compare,technology has come so far in 8yrs. So that being said if your only going use 1080p content,then you could go with a cheaper model. Nevertheless, this TV has all the bells and whistles,so you can grab this and if down the road you decide to watch 4k then you would be all set. Personally I like LG OLED tv's the best out there, nothing compares to these!!!
