“I purchased this TV and it's GREAT!! I hooked up the Digital audio cable between the TV a receiver and the TV plays the sound of the cable box but if you use the Apps (Netflix, Hulu) the sound does not go through the receiver. The Cable continues only.”

Use an optical cable and connect it between the tv and receiver. Use the CD or TV output on your receiver and sound should work.

It sounds like you will need to access the audio settings in the TV and set the audio output to optical...^IFV
