QuestionDoes this television have Dolby Vision? Can it be upgraded via software at a later date if not?

- Answer Yes, it is one of the few brands that will support HDR10 and Dolby Vision out of the box. No need for a software update. However, the UP970 (4K Player) will need a software update coming in either July or August to support the new Dolby Vision Bluray discs.

QuestionWill this TV return the hd audio like Dolby True HD, and Dolby Atmos, and the DTS equivalents back to the AV receiver via the ARC or do I deed to pay up for an OLED for that to work?

- Answer The LG SUPER UHD 4K HDR Smart LED TV w/ Nano Cell™ Display - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # 65SJ8500 has a built-in DTS-HD decoder, it does not have a Dolby Atmos® decoder, only the OLEDs TVs have both decoders. The Digital Sound Output settings can be configured and are available only when an Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC) / Internal TV Speaker + Audio Out (Optical) is selected. If the Sound Input is Dolby Digital, the Digital Sound Output will be Dolby Digital. If it is Dolby Digital Plus, the output will be Dolby Digital Plus. If it is HE-AAC, the output will be Dolby Digital. If it is DTS, the output will be DTS/PCM, if it's DTS EXpress the output will be DTS/PCM. If it's DTS-HD MA, the output will be DTS/PCM...^IFV

- Answer According to Consumer Reports who reviewed this model: "Whether you’re watching a movie blockbuster, a concert, or TV show, it is able to deliver a top quality listening experience. Bass was very deep, providing almost subwoofer-like fullness to the sound though lacking in definition a bit, and treble was nicely detailed, while the overall sound was a bit closed in. The speakers produced a good volume range so this model should play sufficiently loud in typical room environments and without obvious distortion. You can get better quality from a high performing soundbar or separate home theater system but with this model that shoudn’t be necessary."

- Answer Both are correct. Motion rate 240. Consider half that for refresh rate.

- Answer Hello, sounds like you need to adjust the TruMotion setting. Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode Settings > Picture Options. Go to Trumotion and select the one that best fits your preference. It may take a little bit to figure it out or you may prefer it be off. ^AC
