A:AnswerHello, Doug.
As with any electric dryer, regardless of brand or manufacturer, a power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer's terminal block is NOT supplied with the dryer and will have to be purchased separately.
The type of pigtail and gauge of wire must conform to your local codes and since manufacturers do not know what your local codes are, they do not include the power cord.
A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as new construction after January 1, 1996, or where local codes do not permit grounding through the neutral wire.
You can use a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire, or 4-wire UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed loop or forked terminals with upturned ends.
If your home has a 3-wire 240-volt receptacle, then your local building codes probably require a 30-amp, 240-volt 3-wire UL-listed power cord, but you would do well to check your local building codes or consult your local building inspector to verify...^Ivan.
A:AnswerYes, it's slanted. I wish it was level. A basket of clothes will vibrate off. So I purchased a soft rubber pad to put on top, and that stopped it. But we shouldn't have had to do that.

A:AnswerHi, The drum is equipped with a blue LED that illuminates when the dryer is turned on. This light automatically turns off when the door is closed and the cycle starts. To turn on the light during a cycle, press the Drum Light button. The drum light will illuminate and then turn off automatically after four minutes.^Vanessa

A:AnswerHi there, Maria. We understand your experience with the new DLE8400WE dryer, where you are noticing clothes and fabric threads getting stuck on the interior front of the unit, and even causing damage to your laundry. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
It is helpful to know that this unit features a lint filter that requires regular cleaning. A clogged lint filter can sometimes prevent the unit from effectively collecting lint, which could potentially contribute to fabric issues. A simple troubleshooting step you can try is to ensure you are cleaning the lint filter thoroughly before and after every use, and visually inspect the filter mesh for any tears or damage that might be letting large debris bypass it.
