Ultra Large Capacity Rear Control Electric Dryer with LG EasyLoad™ Door and AI Sensing, Model # DLE8400WE, has a depth of 29 1/4" (50 1/2" D with door open), and it has been tested for clearances of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and the rear for recessed or closet installation spacing. You may want to consider additional spacing for ease of installation and servicing. Closets with doors must have both an upper and lower vent to prevent heat and moisture buildup in the closet. One upper vent opening with a minimum opening of 48 sq. in. (310 cm2 ) must be installed no lower than 6 feet above the floor. One lower vent opening with a minimum opening of 24 sq. in. (155 cm2) must be installed no more than one foot above the floor. Install vent grilles in the door or cut down the door at the top and bottom to form openings. A: Yes, the dryer can be vented to the bottom; there are instructions in the manual. The dryer door does reverse; I did it myself and it took about 45min. I am not sure about the kit, but it shows to use a 4" 90' elbow. This could probably be purchased at your local home improvement store.
Q: Do you have to download the app to use the dryer?
A: No app is required. Just plug it in and its ready to go.
Q: is the top of dryer slanted

A: The control panel has a temperature setting that could be changed to a warmer setting. If it is still not hot when drying, there probably is something else going on and should be checked out by a service technician. GREAT SET OF WASHER AND DRYER
Bought the washer and dryer about 3 months ago. Super easy set up. We had to rotate the door to open the opposite way and it was a breeze. The preformance of both the washer and dryer have been great. I love the thin-q option so my phone notifies me when the load is completed and when the lint trap should be vacuumed out.

Excellent dryer
Dryer works great and easy to use. Holds more of a load than our previous dryer. Door opens by pulling down from the top or by pulling from the left sideways.

Works well
Okay… it does dry well, BUT if you put too much laundry in, the clothes will come out very wrinkled. I can fit a lot of clothes in one load in the washer, but if I put the whole load in the dryer, I have to constantly make sure they’re still hot when I take them out to avoid all the clothes looking so wrinkled when I take them out. But again it does dry everything well. I rarely have to restart loads in there to continue drying. Big blankets fit well, too.
