“I always have to use the manual speed dry setting because all the other ones auto stop after about 2-4 minutes of use. I’ve only had this dryer for a couple months and have had this issue since I’ve gotten it. Any help?”

I generally use the perm. Press cycle to dry and haven’t had any issues. And the towel cycle when drying towels.

The sensor dry cycles utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air, and adjust the drying time as needed to ensure superior results. The dryer automatically sets the dryness level and temperature at the recommended setting for each cycle. When the dryer turns off after only 2 minutes during a Sensor Dry cycle, it is almost always because the dryer mistakenly believes the clothes are already dry. This is likely caused by a dirty moisture sensor, a clogged venting system, or an improperly loaded drum. If you have had this issue since purchasing the dryer, it's unlikely that the moisture sensor is dirty unless you use dryer sheets, which can leave a waxy, fragrant residue that builds up on the lint screen, moisture sensors, and inside the drum. If you do use dryer sheets, you can clean the moisture sensor to see if that resolves the issue. Is your dryer showing any error codes on the display? Your dryer features Flow Sense™, an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork. You can refer to the Installation Test (Duct Check) instructions on page 31 in your owner's manual for the dryer to see if it alerts you to any serious problems in the exhaust system of your home. You may also want to refer to the chart on page 20 in the manual under Ductwork to ensure that your maximum length of 4-inch diameter rigid metal duct is in accordance with the lengths given in the chart. The length and type of a flexible dryer vent duct can absolutely cause a dryer to shut off after 2-4 minutes. This is a common symptom of the dryer overheating, often triggered by a thermal safety switch (thermal fuse) or the motor overheating due to poor airflow.
