“I'm looking to purchase this unit so I need feedback. I understand an adaptor can be used to hook up to the back of the unit for headphones. Will sound still come from the speakers when doing this or does plugging in an adaptor go to headphones only?”

Hello KeithM. Thank you for your interest in the LG 700W 2.1ch Mini Shelf System with Built-in Subwoofer and Bluetooth®, Model # CM4550. The only Audio Output in the back of this unit are the speaker ports that you connect the speakers to. The AUX In port in the back does not send audio signals out since it is only an input so there is nothing on the unit that you can connect any sort of adapter to that will let you listen to this unit through headphones...^IFV
