Can you play DVD’s and CD’s without charge null

If you mean to pay (Charge) no you don't. If you mean do you have to charge it, NO. It is a USB connection to you computer, it gets it's power from the computer.

The disc drive does need to be plugged into a compatible laptop or desktop computer with compatible software to read DVD's or CD's. ^CP
