A:AnswerTurbo Tax is probably DVD size and it doesn't really matter. This external drive will work to load Turbotax assuming you buy Turbotax DVD. I seriously doubt that you can download Tjurdo tax to a disk and get away with it. lol

A:AnswerThe LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80 will work the same way that an built-in DVD drive works if you had one in your laptop. It attaches to your laptop via USB and it is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP Operating Systems. When connected to your laptop, it appears as a another drive on your laptop and when you insert software in the drive, you can select that software to download and install it on your laptop. ^Daphane
A:AnswerIn short yes, but more depends on the software/app. working with the CD/DVD drive. Generally with these external or internal CD/DVD writers, you can write/burn about any type of file(s) to a disc (I haven't purchased this product yet). Key thing to remember is it depends on the software/app you use & the mode you use to write/burn a disc in that process. You can write/burn your disc in a DATA mode where as a DVD-ROM format (usually if "finalized" by your app) your wav file(s) could be opened/accessed in a Windows Explorer window & you'd likely see a file name(s) & a ".wav" extension (if your PC has that file mode on too), & it likely could play directly by Windows Media Player. If the software/app has capability mode for CD-Audio, you could then author such onto a CD-R or CD-RW (same for DATA mode). This case you wouldn't see the ".wav" extension as mentioned earlier, but those wav file(s) would be converted to play back as CD-Audio. Worth attention though is the newer "16x" going on up to "24x" or even "48x" record-able/writable discs these days even if authored in CD-Audio mode, such discs are known to not be compatible/playable everywhere, such as older "boomboxes" or component CD players, but usually are more fine in computer type drives (even if commercially replicated CD-Audio discs are playable in them).
