“I've read that this phone uses the entire screen as the speaker. How well does it work? Is the sound clear and not distorted?”

The main speaker is enclosed in the phone and faces outward through the glass, their is also another speaker on the side of the phone facing outward and is a lot louder.The speaker playing threw the glass is the weaker of the two speakers if you try out the G8 put your finger over it (bottom speaker/side) and the volume will play a lot lower.As for what i think it sounds good.Buy some wired headphones and you will be pleasantly surprised how good the headphone jack is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It works well but i have a case that encloses the entire phone for better protection so i think there is more notable distortion with the case on and sound is not quite as loud. Hope that helps.
