All the buttons do not light up on the inside of door panel. They are so hard to read that we immediately returned microwave. What a pain. I called LG and ask if there is some setting to light buttons up or backlight them, but there was no such thing.

Yes, the display is illuminated and very easy to read. The light inside the microwave is also very bright and unlike many of its competitors, it's very easy to see what's going on with the food inside.

No, because there is no control panel like all other microwaves on the market. It's an odd control unit, for timed settings you just hit the 30 sec button until you have the time you want - e.g. 6 times for 3 minutes. There is a +10sec button as well for fine tuning. There are a few standard settings inside the door, like popcorn.

Yes, clearly read 25 feet away. Plus cute end of cook alarm and reminder. The black stainless is not all that black, looks good. Hopefully it lasts. I replaced a 19 year old KitchenAid microwave that was still working...
