“Do I need to buy high efficiency detergent just for this washer?”

• The salesperson told us "yes". I was concerned but then realized my regular detergent already is "he- high efficiency". I suspect that most of the big name brands are. Just look on your detergent container that you already use and see if it has the "he" symbol on it. You'll be fine then.

• Yes.. Per the owner manual this machine should use high efficiency detergent (He). It will provide a lower suds level to avoid clogging up the machine or leaving excess soap in the clothing.

• You need to use high efficiency detergent for *any* front load washer, not just this one. May want to read this to: http://thesweethome.com/reviews/the-best-washer-and-dryer/
