“will LG update the firmware for this player? it currently cannot play newer 4K discs. it refuses to load: Skyscraper, 2001, Matrix: Reloaded (which I actually exchanged for another brand new copy only to have the same issue).”

No idea what to tell you. I only ever had problems with a 4K disc from the library; the discs I've purchased have all worked flawlessly (including Captain Marvel, which I bought last week.) Contact LG?
