It works with the LIFX app, no hub required. It does need to connect to wifi to control it away from home home and to change colors.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a stand alone bulb. It has no hub and connects over WiFi. The bulb doesn’t have Bluetooth functionality. In my personal opinion it is the best smart bulb on the market. I’ve never ran into any connection issues. And everything is controlled by the lifx app which is really well designed. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The light does not require a bridge. Although it must be connected to the same Wi-Fi signal as your phone, or the smart assistant you are using to control it. An app is offered on IOS and Android for easier control and setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use this without a bridge. You only use an app on your phone. Had I known this I would have never bought Hue bulbs to begin with. I have both companies now. I prefer LIFX for that reason and many more.
