A solution for this sort of problem that a lot of people overlook is Powerline technology. A Powerline adapter plugs into your wall and it has an Ethernet port you connect to your router. You then put another Powerline adapter in another room that has a device you want to connect. Alternatively, you can plug a second router into the 'client' Powerline adapter creating a 2nd hot spot (or more) in your house. Configuring such a network is a bit more complicated than setting up a mesh network, but in my experience provides a much more reliable connection than WiFi by itself.

However, with this network topology, we may need to consider few things such as the distance of the connected devices from the router, and the spot where the unit will be placed to.
