Works much better in my opinion because you are technically using multiple WiFi routers that daisy chain off of each other.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very different beast. This is the distributed mesh WiFi router which gets you excellent coverage everywhere at the expense of some performance relative to your powerful central R7000. While each device may not see the same throughput you will find that your ability to run multiple devices with very good throughput simultaneously around your home to be better than ever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No comparison in my opinion. The "mesh" system is superb and the two pack special pricing made it affordable. No more signal problems, no more buffering issues and great whole house coverage! Easy to install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Nighthawk R7000 and really like it. However, I added devices on the other end of the house and it couldn't quite reach those with a solid signal. I first tried the Google Wifi mesh system, but found it actually doesn't work properly with the Google Home devices! (Yeah, I couldn't believe it either!) So, I got this Linksys Velop system (2-pack) and it rocks! To compare it with the Netgear R7000, I can use just one access point (node) of the Linksys Velop and get a good signal where the Nighhawk was weak. But adding the second node made it a full, rock-solid signal! I would highly recommend this Linksys Velop system. I didn't need the three-pack for another $150, but I'm sure that would be even more awesome if you need more coverage.
