• Hi, Danjes84. The Linksys Velop Tri-Band Mesh system should work with your existing router but, we suggest that your make the Velop node as your primary router.

• You can just add nodes if you currently have a mesh router. If not, connect from a lan port of the router and turn the wireless off on the original router.
