“I have several bridges for systems like Philips Hue and garage opener. With only 2 ports on each node does it matter which one I use to connect? In other words can I have two bridges on one node and two on the second node?”

• Yes. You have one open ethernet port on the "main" node that is ethernet connected to your router. Then the one I have in the living room has two open ethernet ports in addition to the wireless service, and the same for the third node in the Kitchen area.

• Yes as long as the parent node has the internet connected to one of the ports. You can also get a cheap 4 port switc.
