Yes, the Harmony Smart Control. It has a little device that is a bit wider than a hockey puck. You just leave it in front of your cable box and the remote you have would connect to it through bluetooth. You can change channels and volume without line of site. Through walls, upstairs... Pretty good range. Bonus, it has a smartphone / tablet app that you can use at the same time. Its smart enough to know what activity you are on regardless of who turned it on or off. Great for when you are too lazy to get the remote from across the room once you already sat down :)

Please try again later.Don't what it's called exactly but we have a signal receiver attached at the corner of our TV that relays a line-of-sight command to the other receivers that are attached to all the devices in a closet. So, even though we only have line-of-sight with our TV, remotes for all our equipment get to them in the component closet. It's a great system. Sorry I don't know exactly what it's called.

There's not an adapter by Logitech for the Harmony remote series that changes the Line of Sight feature (actually called IR or Infrared) to the RF (Radio Frequency) or even Bluetooth feature. (So far I've only seen the Bluetooth adapter with the Playstation). The reason I am saying you should be asking Charter is because the feature you're wanting has to do with their set top boxes. I'd ask if they have a newer box that has that feature, like DirecTV, because the remote automatically links to it, if it's available.
